Terms and Conditions
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using NotionBoard.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using NotionBoard ("the Service"), operated by NotionBoard ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
NotionBoard is a web-based application that provides interactive graph views of Notion databases. The Service allows users to:
- Connect their Notion workspace via OAuth and select databases for visualization
- Visualize relationships and dependencies between database items as interactive node-edge graphs
- Filter and search graph nodes by status, tags, and assignees
- Share graph views via public or private links
- Embed visualizations within Notion using embed blocks
3. Accounts and Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account and authorize access to your Notion workspace. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Ensuring that your use of the Service complies with Notion's own Terms of Service
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
4. Notion Integration
The Service integrates with your Notion workspace through Notion's official API using OAuth authentication. By connecting your workspace, you grant us permission to:
- Read your database structures, items, and relation properties
- Read page titles, status properties, and other selected fields
- Cache database snapshots to provide the graph visualization
We do not write to, modify, or delete any content in your Notion workspace. The Service operates in a read-only capacity unless explicitly stated otherwise in future feature releases.
5. Subscription Plans and Payment
The Service offers tiered subscription plans:
- Free Plan — Limited to 1 graph project, up to 100 nodes, manual refresh, and includes a "Powered by Notion Visualizer" watermark on shared/embedded views.
- Pro Plan — Unlimited graphs (or generous cap), higher node limits (~1,000), faster refresh intervals, watermark removal, and PNG export.
- Team Plan — Shared workspaces, role-based access control, private embeds, and collaboration features.
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually. All fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. We reserve the right to modify pricing with at least 30 days' notice.
6. Usage Limits and Fair Use
Each plan has defined limits on the number of graph projects, nodes, edges, and refresh frequency. These limits exist to ensure fair use and to manage infrastructure costs. Exceeding these limits may result in throttling or a request to upgrade your plan.
You agree not to:
- Use automated systems or bots to access the Service beyond normal usage patterns
- Attempt to circumvent rate limiting, node caps, or refresh restrictions
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, logos, and documentation, is owned by NotionBoard and protected by intellectual property laws. Your Notion data remains entirely yours — we claim no ownership over any content retrieved from your Notion workspace.
"Notion" is a trademark of Notion Labs, Inc. Notion Visualizer is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Notion Labs, Inc.
8. Shared and Embedded Views
When you create a shared or embedded view of your graph, you acknowledge that:
- Public share links are accessible to anyone with the URL
- Embedded views in Notion pages are visible to anyone who can view that Notion page
- Free-tier shared views will display a "Powered by Notion Visualizer" watermark and backlink
- You are responsible for ensuring that shared content does not violate any confidentiality obligations
9. Data and Security
We store encrypted OAuth tokens, cached graph snapshots (nodes/edges as JSON), and basic account information. We do not store the full content of your Notion pages. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information about data handling.
10. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service depends on third-party providers including Notion's API, cloud hosting, and database services. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NotionBoard shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities.
Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
12. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through your account settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or remain inactive for an extended period.
Upon termination, your cached graph data and account information will be deleted within 30 days. Your Notion data remains unaffected as we operate in read-only mode.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice within the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
